Game server closures in late 2026 and 2027

Official end dates for online services from November 2026 through 2027, checked against the publishers' own announcements, with what stays playable offline.

How to read this list

Every date below was checked on 6 November 2026 against the announcement of the publisher or platform holder, linked under Sources. Publishers can move dates, so check the linked page before you rely on one. A server closure ends online play; where the publisher names modes that stay playable offline, they are listed.

November 2026

  • **Call of Duty: Warzone** (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One): Activision says that from Season 1, which began on 6 November 2026, Warzone is no longer playable on PS4 and Xbox One. Progress carries over to a supported platform if you log in with the same linked Activision account.
  • **theHunter Classic** (PC): the developers announced on Steam that the game shuts down on 11 November 2026. It was removed from the Steam Store in August 2026; owners can play until the shutdown, and regular competitions end on 10 November.
  • **Destruction AllStars** (PS5): Sony says all server support ends on 25 November 2026 at 15:00 UTC. Multiplayer is already offline. Single-player modes stay available until then; afterwards, Arcade Mode single-player challenges remain playable for returning players, although Sony warns they may be affected. Destruction Points can be spent in single-player modes until the same time.

December 2026

  • **NBA 2K25** and **MyTEAM Mobile 2K25**: 2K's Online Services Status page lists their online features as scheduled to be available until 31 December 2026. Offline modes listed for NBA 2K25: Play Now, MyNBA/MyLeague/MyGM, 2KU/Learn 2K, MyWNBA and the W. MyTEAM Mobile 2K25 has no offline modes.
  • **SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada** (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S): sales of the paid SYN COINS end on 18 December 2026 at 00:00 JST. The end of the online service follows in 2027 (see below).

2027

  • **New World: Aeternum** (all platforms): Amazon says the servers go offline permanently on 31 January 2027, after which the game cannot be accessed on any platform. It was delisted on 15 January 2026, and in-game purchases ended on 20 July 2026.
  • **PGA TOUR 2K23**: online features scheduled until 12 March 2027. Offline modes: Local Match and Training Center.
  • **WWE 2K25**: online features scheduled until 31 March 2027 on Steam, PlayStation and Xbox, and until 31 March 2028 on Nintendo Switch 2. Offline modes: Play Now, Showcase, MyRISE, MyGM and Universe.
  • **SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada**: Bandai Namco plans to end the online service after May 2027 and turn the game into an offline-only PvE version. The transfer of save data is scheduled to start in December 2026, some saved data and purchased items can move to the offline version, and the exact end date is to be announced around March 2027.
  • **LEGO 2K Drive**: online features scheduled until 31 May 2027. Offline modes: Story Mode and local split-screen multiplayer.
  • **NBA 2K26** and **TopSpin 2K25**: online features scheduled until 31 December 2027. Offline modes: the same as NBA 2K25 for NBA 2K26; TopSpin Academy and Exhibition for TopSpin 2K25.

Before a server closes

Spend in-game currency and finish online-only content before the dates above. For Warzone on last-generation consoles, keep the same Activision account linked so that progress carries over.

What about revivals?

When official servers close, a community project sometimes builds a replacement, often years later. This directory lists such projects only once they document a working release, and none is listed yet for the games on this page. Read Before you install a community revival before trying one.
